BG TR30 Index
BSE – Sofia introduced the BG TR30 Index (BG Total Return 30) on September 3rd, 2007 with initial value of 1 000 points. The index is based on the price performance of the shares included in the index portfolio, as each issue has equal weight. Only issues listed on the BSE – Sofia and meeting the criteria below are included in the calculation of BG TR30: – The market capitalisation of each issue should not be less than BGN 10 000 000 (10 million); – The free-float (number of shares held by minority shareholders, i.e. holders of less than 5% of the votes in the General Meeting of the issuing company) should not be less than 10 % of the total volume of the issue; – The size (amount) of each issue should not be less than 250 000 shares. All issues meeting the criteria above are classified according to the following criteria, carrying equal weight: – Market capitalisation; – Number of transactions during the last 12 (twelve) months; – Turnover (value traded) during the last 12 (twelve) months; – Free-float. The first 30 issues graded as above are included in the BG TR30 portfolio. 30 companies take part in the BG TR30 Index calculation.
